Questions
Q. What inspired you to become an environmental attorney?
A. Growing up I always felt a connection to nature. That connection grew into a sense of responsibility, not just to protect the environment but to help people whose lives are shaped by it. As I learned more about the climate crisis and environmental injustice throughout my studies, I realized I wanted to do more than just care – I wanted to work within the legal system to help support people and improve the health of the environment. For me, being an environmental lawyer is about turning that sense of responsibility into action that supports people, protects nature, and creates lasting positive impact.
Q. What excites you most about the field of environmental law?
A. What excites me most about environmental law is how it sits at the crossroads of science, justice, and law. It offers a meaningful way to respond to some of the most urgent challenges we face. I’m especially drawn to how the field continues to evolve, I enjoy overcoming challenges and learning through my work. The combination of complexity, purpose, and possibility keeps me inspired and engaged.
Q. How do you connect with your clients?
A. I connect with my clients by taking the time to listen to their story and understand their unique concerns. When we speak, I am sure to give them my full attention and create a space where they feel heard, respected and supported. Building a foundation of trust is important to me, and I strive to approach each matter with care, clarity, and commitment to their goals.
Q. What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
A. I love to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Running along the water, swimming in the ocean, snowboarding in the winter, hiking with my dog, and taking Pilates classes with friends are some of my favorite things to do.
