Questions

Q. How long have you been at Davis Environmental Law?
A. January 2024 is my 17th anniversary with the firm. I am proud to be part of a law firm that has been able to positively sustain its growth and continue helping clients throughout a sometimes unpredictable economy. The firm works tirelessly to help clients from all walks of life get the experienced legal help they need. I am part of a firm that genuinely cares about helping people, not just obtaining clients. It’s really quite energizing and I look forward to continuing to positively impact our clients lives.

Q. What’s the most exciting part of your work?
A. There are so many aspects I find exciting because we are actively making a positive impact on the environment through our work. Davis Environmental Law has been – and continues to be – at the forefront of environmental cleanup in New Jersey and the Tri-State area. For me, our clients are the most exciting part of the job. As the first point of contact for the firm, I strive to nurture a very warm and open connection with all of our clients. My goal is always making sure they feel confident reaching out and feel comfortable communicating whatever is on their minds. I am often the one they speak with first to share their joy and relief over a positive case outcome or win in court. I am the one they vent to, sometimes cry to and always thank for being there during their case. There is always someone at Davis Environmental Law who they know genuinely cares for them.

Q. What has this position taught you?
A. I have learned many things over the years. Patience is definitely one of them. The necessity to not get complacent and always strive for continued growth. Respect for cultural differences. As the firm’s administrative manager, my day to day is always full of surprises, the work brings with it a plethora of ever-changing and sometimes unexpected tasks and necessities. So the most important thing for me is the ability to adapt both professionally and technically. Every case is different and the intricacies that come along with them. You have to be able to shift and modify the way you approach things. Having so many different clients and business relationships, it’s imperative you are able to adapt to the many personalities and backgrounds you come in contact with. This is one of the ways I am so easily able to establish positive business relationships with our clients and business associates.

Q. What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
A. As a mom, there is always lots of running from one extra-curricular activity to the next and I cherish it. But weaved around and throughout all of that is my striving to spend as much time as possible in service and charity to the many causes dear to my heart.  One of the most rewarding is with youth service – building up and inspiring the next generation of leaders. I am fortified through my faith and being an active member of my Church. I love to be outdoors, going on adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

Q. What is the question that prospective clients ask most often?
A. That depends on if the prospective client is someone who was recommended to us, which is where many of our clients come from, or someone who found us by doing a search on their own. If someone is calling who found us online, they usually want to know if the firm has knowledge of the circumstances they are presenting to me. The great news for them is that they found their way to one of the most experienced environmental law firms in New Jersey. I am easily able to advise them that our firm has over 20 years of experience working directly with all aspects of environmental law in New Jersey. Howard Davis alone has over 30 years of proven success. On the flip side of that is the many referrals that come from previous or current clients or other business associates. These prospective clients usually already know that Davis Environmental Law has the experience they need. My endeavor is to make sure their first contact with the firm is a positive one that encourages confidence in the firm even before establishing a business relationship.
